Utilization is your balances divided by your limits, and it’s reported when each statement closes - so paying down before the statement date counts, not before the due date. Under 30% is the figure most often cited, under 10% better still. We can’t tell you what it will do to your score: nobody outside the bureaus can.

Estimates only, based on the figures you enter, not an offer of credit. Your actual rate and payment depend on the lender and your circumstances.

Your result What it means
Your utilization The share of your available credit you are currently using. It is calculated by dividing your balances by your credit limits.
To reach 30% The estimated amount you would need to pay down to bring your utilization to 30%.
To reach 10% The estimated amount you would need to pay down to bring your utilization to 10%.

Utilization is measured when your statement closes, not when your payment is due. Paying down a balance before the statement date is what actually lowers the number your score sees. We can't tell you exactly what it will do to your score, only the bureaus can, but lower is consistently better.
